there is a utility to drill down to a patients notes in Synergy from excel. Here it is: using Win 2000 it is installed in the following directory
C://Documents and Settings/username/application data/Microsoft/Addins.
After installing in the directory open Excel and add it to Add ins. To use Drill Back you need to use patient_id as a field in your output for the report. You then right click on the patient_id that you want and you will get a new option ‘View Clinical Notes’
