The doctor does not read medical literature regularly and avoids going to medical meetings. He/she does not always meet consultants on domiciliary visits. He/she is reluctant to be criticised or to take part in evaluation. The doctor continues to learn, by keeping up to date with books and journals, making good use of postgraduate meetings, domiciliary visits, and critical assessment, by self or peers, of his or her own work.
