- unwell all day – miserable, off normal feeds, just wanting to drink
- stools a bit loose
- seems sleepy
- runny nose
- sister (age 3) has had d & v for 2 days
- seems hot all over
- slight rash on the trunk – comes and goes. Red/blotchy
- no PMH of note
- worried because of the recent case of meningitis in the locality
- not given any medication so far
- ‘worried in case it could be serious’
